Well, you say it is about the overall market, but I don't see any evidence of that. They only time I have ever heard of this happening is on the OTC:BB scam stocks. And I have never seen any evidence of it, just some hearsay from the folks who lost money on the scam. With stocks that are basically worthless, one would have to worry about the shorters because if it is going to zero and going to fold up anyway, the longs never get the benefit of the shorts covering. If I am in a stock for a company that is a solid busines, I don't care how many shorts dive in, it just makes it sweeter when they have to cover.

So again, my point is that I see no evidence that this applies to the "overall" market.

Further, when you push for something to be done about these illegal naked short sellers, it is like saying something should be done about bank robbers. It is already illegal, what more do you want?
