thanks all to the discussion. These are certainly trying times and it pays to put things out on the table. One thing I have to stress though is that no matter what the problem, there is no one single root cause, but rather a combination of factors. Our economy is such a finely tuned machine that it should be able to bounce back up on most issues, but thwne it does go wrong, there are obvioously a number of factors that are contribution to the problem.
