Di (with respect of course) I think you are still operating in the "tech-gee-whiz-we-have-money-turn-burn-bubble-days" mode. Do you really think home internet is not a luxury? A lot of working class folks could care less about it and don't have any intention of signing up...especially when they just lost their job. Same goes for wireless voice. Frankly the only reason I have this internet connection is because I still have a little money to play with and I am hooked on talking to people hear. Otherwise...what the hell do I need an internet connection for? Wireless? I just lowered my Verizon phone plan for fewer minutes. The novelty has worn off and frankly I'd rather save the money. The watch words now are get out of debt, save for possible job loss (or worse), cut back on things we thought we needed but Sept. 11th reminded us we really didn't, etc. The way too cool technology I fear will sit on the shelves in times like these...WHEN it ever gets here. I said back in February that 3G stuff wouldn't get around our parts (on a profitable level) until late next year. Got flamed for that. Doesn't seem so unrealistic now. <H> <H>
