I think we're lucky that Bush is in the White House. If Gore were taking this measured
and deliberate approach, I don't know if he'd have such nearly-unanimous support.

That's a fascinating comment. I wonder whether anybody will challenge it, or whether it's pretty universally accepted. What an interesting thought that the Supreme Court may have done the country a favor it couldn't possibly have forseen.
