Dear Derek: At the risk of offending some here I must tell you how I felt many years ago when the first Arab/Israelli wars began. I used to say we screwed up. We should have given the Jews WEST VIRGINIA instead. Here was my thinking:
That worthless piece of land they got, with no decent water, no oil and little prospects, they turned into a rather sort of Eden. NOW, take W.VA. with great water, plentiful natural resources, especially coal. Think what they could have done with that state? My thinking was they would have been so successful there that the taxes they would pay from their profits would run our government. haha. JDN
