Elmer Fudd? Intel was having earnings growth problems in 1997 - and it wasn't because of a pullback. They have more of the same problems again. Intel managed to delay these problems by participating in the bubble by acquiring shares in internet and other technology companies, selling the shares, and showing a earnings growth because of it. Anything else you mentioned is just further further complications. But Intel would have problems regardless.
