Rio may decide to buy out the minority but there are still laws that are supposed to protect the minority shareholders.
The majority of the minority would have to approve takeover price.

Also they can't withhold material information (i.e. drilling results, etc.) from the market to get shares on the cheap. If they try to do this I'm sure someone from inside Ashton would leak this out to the public and this would result in Rio having to explain their actions to OSC and may result in fines and other penalties.

I think Ashton is one of the few honorable juniors today and we minority shareholders will get a fair treatment.
