Limtex -- excellent post. It is amazing how peoples' state of mind changes to fit the price level of a stock (or commodity or interest rate level). In the spring of 1984, one could have bought 30 year U.S. Treasury bonds at a yield of 14%. Was inflation near 14% then ? No. Was the economy looking like 14% was necessary then ? No. Everyone just "whipped themselves into a frenzy" then. ("A whole move based on nothing.") Qualcomm is the same company as 5 or 10 days ago. It just has a dramatically different stock price now.
