Jon: I am about to put you back on "ignore,"

It seems to be a strategy that has worked for you so far.. If you don't like the message.. Then Ignore them.. Lot's of other investors that have lost billions on paper have chosen the same strategy! Of course I have "an agenda"..Eveyone here has "an agenda". You do by ignoring posters that may not agree with your views. As far as a position in Qualcomm.. I currently have no position!

So let's discuss your Nextel debunk.

"Nextel will most probably fold in a few years."

Why? Does it have something to do with the continued lowering of ARPU per MOU charges in the past 3 years?

They use a technology that does not work too well.

Most GSM operators seem to be doing quite well.. Even though the use a technology that does not work too well!

They are extremely "isolated" regarding the whole issue of roaming, multi-whatever ASIC chips, etc.

Really?

If you want to talk isolation.. You need to look at CDMA operators!

The fact that did not go directly to Qualcomm's 1X technology right now just indicates (I think) how financially stressed they are.

If ARPU per MOU had not deteriorated so badly, then maybe they could afford to continue the upgrade?

The concept should be simple.. Spend X Billion to upgrade. Then I can sell 4X the MOU for 4X the revenue.. But what you get is.. Spend X Billion to upgrade, then you get 4X the MOU capacity to sell at 1/4 the price per MOU.. Net result.. The Infrastructure Upgrade was not a prudent business decision!

Regards,
PCSTEL
