Nazism certainly wasn't the manifestation of Christianity, but Hitler nonetheless wrapped himself in its cloak for his own nefarious purposes. He and his apparatus were quite sophisticated in the art of propaganda, and were certainly mindful of the effect such language would have on a largely Christian audience.

bin Laden is, IMO, no less shrewd.
