In my previous message to you I tried to convey that you seem to me to be judging Islam by a different standard than you would use for more familiar religions. You make allowances for the more sinister elements of the religions that are more familiar to you. We all do this with our families, our political parties, our cultural groups because we appreciate the subtleties whereas, with alien groups, we take at face value the statements of their most outspoken, and likely most extreme, advocates and get all exercised over how horrid they are. It seems to me that you want someone to prove to you that Islam is not the devil you fear it to be.

All I can offer is my observation and interpretation of your quest. FWIW. I don't speak Arabic, have never read the Quran--nor the Bible, am not modern day and age can get so worked up over whose deity represents Truth. I suspect that the motivation of the terrorists is more political than religious. It's just that in that part of the world it's harder to differentiate between the two. So, FWIW, I think you may be barking up the wrong tree, or at least barking up only one of the many trees in the forest. I'm sorry that I can't answer any of your specific questions.
