I have once again changed the reporting format by getting rid of the holding period and adding the
Win percentage and the Average dollar per win column. As you can see , the Win percentage on
average is above 60% (excellent) and the Dollars per Win value is on average above $1110 (also
excellent) where the problems occur is that the stop loss avg is (-$4180) per stop. With 39 trades
closed this week ,20%(way too high) where stop losses and all 8 stops were on the Short side .
Of the 22 short trades 36% were stopped out , a very high percentage. This week the markets
trended upwards yet only 48% of the trades were on the LONG side, clearly the group was playing
against the prevailing trend as was evident with 100% of all stop losses were on the SHORT trade.
Given that the Stop losses are generating loses (-$4180) 4 times greater than average win (+$1110)
a way to maximize our gains and lower our losses would be to bring the stop down to the (-$1000)
area instead of the 10% limit. Since the average trade is with stocks in the $35 area , a (-$1000)
loss represents aproximately about a 2% loss on equity which ios bang on to any money management
theory and teachings out there. This Proves a point, the numbers work, keep your loses to a max 2%
drawdown and the rest will fall into place.
