Ok, I mainly agree with your post, but I suspect that the 1.3 million jobs was an attempt to portray "jobs" as manufacturing jobs. There we have seen a net loss of over one million jobs -- and it is probably getting close to that 1.3 milllion number. I question whether jobs in one category are more important than in another one, but I think some people are very much focused on that one segment. I actually don't agree on the bias of the media to be negative -- I think it cuts both ways.
