You make some good points about how shortsighted and stupid the U.S. was to leave Afghanistan in the hands of these Islamic terrorists. It pains me greatly to recognize that the USA played a part in establishing this evil terrorist state (and helped the Pakistan/ Taliban/ bin-Laden alliance to control Afghanistan). How much better it would have been to do the right thing in the first place rather than to be drawn back to avenge the lives of thousands of Americans. The poor Afghans are living in war for more than 20 years, they do not have to pay for a handful of madmen that your shadowy men fed with weapons and dollars. Facts must be looked at straight, and that statement repeated so as not to be forgotten: for years, your CIA supported the most fundamentalist Afghans, giving birth to monsters now uncontrollable. Large numbers of people foreign to Afghanistan (Algerians, Arabs from the Emirates, Palestinians, Saudi Arabs, Sudanese...) came to train for guerilla warfare for years.
