Your logic fits you, fits your purpose, but certainly theologians and people of faith the world over would take exception to the conclusion that you draw.

If both gods existed, theirs and "ours", they would have fought it out, and 6000 innocent would not have had to perish, unless their god had overcome "ours".
Now if there is only one common god, it wouldn't have happened, either.


Even most atheists will agree that man is capable of both tremendous evil and tremendous good. And many religions follow a principle that God gave man the free will to choose.

Some people clearly choose evil.

That evil happens does not disprove the existence of God in the minds of people of faith.
