You should then be aware of

- the english single-member-per-district majority system (First Past the Post)
- the huge changes which already has happened in Sctoland
- and those which are happing more to the south
- no checks and balances like US

Do you follow english politics at all???

Irish and 6 districts does not improve the ignorance of "tyrnnany of both the majority and the minority"
and especially not the understanding of the concept of "consensus". (however, I am fully
aware of the fact that the political debate on these issues are official banned in UK, earlier
it was more unofficially)

DO a search of "proportional representation" and "consensus", and then maybe "center based consensus".
After that you can maybe try to find out why Scotland tries to achieve a similar system as FInland.
