Please avoid getting your nose rubbed more, try to find about what goes on.

Oh.. I know VERY WELL what it's all about. We create an entity like the UN, house it on some of the most expensive real estate in the US, and proceed to admit every little two-bit dictatorship and give them an equal vote.

That's a GREAT WAY to get the rich nations to finance the corrupt schemes of the petty dictators, as we've seen throughout the past 50 years..

We should have stated that only democratic states would possess the right to vote in the UN... That would have been a major inducement to at least create some "semblance" of a democratic institution in these nations, rather than the totalitarian societies that acted only as flies in the ointment to anything the UN was organized to achieve.

It's tantamount to permitting convicted mafiosos to run for congress, and expecting honest policy to come from them..

The problem is that the US has been subsidizing the rest of the world since 1945. And we've been playing "softball" with some VERY nasty people who have only sought to undercut the forming of a global democratic republic. (not that I'm some kind of world federalist).

And I highly doubt that you have anything to offer me on Industrial Espionage. They reason they engage in it is because the US is the only nation which seems to have anything worth stealing. And that includes everyone, Russia, Japan, Britain, France, Germany, China... etc, etc...

"European Commission study revealed that US companies spend 74% more on research and development than their European counterparts. Not to be outdone, high-tech patenting in Europe among US firms is roughly seven times higher than that of European firms in the US."

It sure saves them Europeans a ton on R&D if they can steal it from the Yanks, doesn't it?
