Wooooo, I think that's a good one. Was that an interview with the President of AMD Japan? If so, I think I vaguely recall it.

It's easily possible that they missed tapeout. Did Jim Keller leave around then?

Good logicking there. Still, how long ago was Van's report? If it was two months ago or more, than "several" is still pushing it, especially with that 6 month mark.

Nonetheless, good show of memory on your part.

BTW, what is a "cell based design process"? I recall that people were stunned when cells were hand placed for the K7 instead of by some other method, but I don't know if I actually have a working understanding on what all this means. :/
