"that only cost me $8-16 Billion to produce", is that interest costs, labor costs, or neither one??

I thought you knew that already... Considering that you seem to know so much else... :0)

Average production cost per barrel in Saudi Arabia is $1.50.

And has been that way for some time.. (if you don't believe me, research it).

As for other nations... Of course, it's not that cheap for them to produce oil. But look at Norway.. they do quite nicely for themselves based upon $9-12/barrel production costs. Not nearly as profitable, but they seem to be a pretty wealthy nation over all..

Btw, neither I, nor the US, created the Saudi Monarchy... The Brits, and Wahhabis did.... (Just as the Brits created Jordan, to appease the Hashemites who were competing with the Saudis for control over Mecca).

So don't expect me to feel particularly guilty..
