Since it will be extraordinary and non-recurring, I suppose Q will have to keep it on reported earnings and but keep it off pro forma. Hence, pro forma earnings may very well be smaller than reported earnings for the quarter in which Q receives its share of NextWave cash. vbg.

the WSJ reported QCOM's earnings the past few years were reduced some 30% due to writeoffs, which did not make it onto pro forma. but now QCOM has a lucky gain, and people complain it is not on the pro forma. this is typical glass-half-full thinking.
