<<You must admit; it is confusing>> Yes - and inconsistent as well. In regard to terrorism, we had never walked in Israel's shoes or lived with their realities. We were naive. We were asleep. We got burned. We are waking up. We are not fully awake yet. Many things have to change. Some things will be easy, just expensive - the things that money can solve. Others will be difficult. We talk about not wanting to give up some personal liberties - to live our lives and move freely anywhere in the country unnoticed and without hassle. Unfortunately, so can others - people who want to kill us, or do us other forms of harm. Is it really so much to give up to have to show who you are and have bags checked when you move around in the country? Maybe to terrorists and criminals, but do we REALLY want them moving freely amongst the rest of us? I, for one would not mind carrying an ID card with absolute proof of identity to show when needed. We are now responding - the first military actions in a long war. There WILL be more terrorist acts. We MUST be willing to make minor sacrifices to save the lives of citizens.
