Alan, whatever the grievances are/were it doesn't matter now --- that's history.

The events of this evening have superceded any path of moderation.

So, we will never know if the million words could have helped. Perhaps our grandchildren will read about the possibilities in their history books!

For what it's worth and considering the choice, I'm happier to be a white in black Africa rather than a Muslim in the USA.
