Actually, you don't have to use a TV as the monitor. However the better
TVs are good enough be used as 640 x 480 pixel monitors which are good
enough for net surfing. Is a wireless keyboard needed? I imagine so, but
most net surfing is done with a mouse. I imagine a game's joystick and
buttons could replace the mouse. Keyboards are used to write messages
like this. I expect some keyboards could be replaced with voice entry
and handwriting entry. Both of these technologies are somewhat useful
now and will be very adept in the near future.

You can bet that quite a few sharp engineers and inventors are dreaming
of and developing the tools needed for this job. Many of the tools will
fail. But others will be successful. Keep an eye out. The future of the
technologies should be interesting and cool. Some will make lots of money.

The new cable boxes, if they become successful, will be a bit more
sophisticated than rocks.

Do you think this internet is interesting and maybe even useful? I
suspect those who might access it with a dedicated box will like it
also. Buy the time cable is able to bring the net into the home, I expect
Netscape will be at rev 4. The net will look and be quite a bit more
capable than it is today.
