Our nation (the Islamic world) has been tasting this humiliation and this degradation for more than 80 years. This was a stinging defeat of forces wishing to establish a single Islamic state and a moment in history bin Laden wants his audience to remember (and resent). ataturk.com Please remember, the very existence of a successful secular Turkey provides credible evidence that a separation of religion and state IS workable in the Islamic world and as such becomes a great threat to the Fundamentalist Islamic vision being pushed by bin Laden and his ilk. --fl
