The A10 wouldn't have the range to operate from currently known [to us] bases, i should think, so there wouldn't be any in action yet .... they'll need to secure forward bases and fly in umpteen loads on C-130s and the like before starting up operations with them ..... interesting your involvement ... i had a great-great-great[?]-aunt who was into genealogy, and then a great-aunt and -uncle who in the early days of computers put together a book on one of my english side-branches ... they almost proved a link to the designer of the Supermarine Spitfire, quite a distant link and it remains possible [along with one to Shelley the poet] but not proven [there are several hundred other possible links as well, they were nothing if not comprehensive in their speculation] .... the last Spitfire made, and the last flown in action, was the one with which Cuba beat back the Bay of Pigs invasion ... btw ... which brings us to Babalú - there is to my knowledge no song of that name -g- ... it's an african deity that has become part of the folklórico of Cuba, there are bands and clubs named after it, etc ... the happier side of santería ... i only know about it because of a tiny and fantastically cute dancing partner who hails from that island and loves to watch old I love Lucy tapes [sees them as period pieces on the development of the society in which she now finds herself] [soon we'll get to Ed Sullivan and the Beatles, one step at a time]
That guy [and i use the term loosely] decided to bad-mouth Bob Z last spring, and showing on his bio at the time were old posts from when he was one of the rmilpeople, lol .... 'dime con quien andas, y te diré quien eres', eh ... you i know as an amigo of Pollísimo ... cheers |
