Yes, I do....
I condemn it Sandeep and you know it well. I condemn every militant Pakistani organisation or person who takes the name of Islam to promote his agenda, that is nothing to do with Islam.
If even this is what Islam is I don't believe in such an Islam! Period
You know I hope what does that sentence means for someone living in Pakistan, I was there until two days ago. I say that openly living in Pakistan in the capital city. No one here would touch me or think of that because my country is not a hell hole what media makes out to be, that is a tragedy but I am not going to fight about that, the global media only sees things that are slanted.I have little security for I visit hell holes near the border but otherwise I am free to say what I say and I write in my full name on this thread.
I have condemned Pakistani nuclear explosions in response to India in May 1998 please check the thread, have condemned the military take over of my country in Oct 1999, please check the thread but once if I have shown my gratitude to my country for a right step it is not acceptable by my friends? Our nuclear response was only after Pokharan desert peaceful explosions under Madame Indira Ghandi in 1972 and 1998 on 11th of May. Poor nations who cannot provide shelter and food and let their citizens die on streets like dogs should not have gone to the luxury of nuclear explosions!
However, I still think that we don’t need it we can live as a strong state by working on our economic internals. I have yet to see someone from the other side expounding similar values, the other side would tell Pakistan, no man our is a birth right to have nuclear weapons like Us and USSR or China has.
I for one consider no competition with bigger states, my enemy number 1 is not China like Indians call them my enemy number 1 is ignorance, religious bigotry and famine and hunger that inflicts me, I as a human being recognise it and try to eliminate the basic causes in my nation.
I have openly condemned not once but thousand times Islamic militancy and extremism and nationalistic streaks that leads to blind killings. No independence is bigger than blood of innocent dropped in vain is my slogan. I am a believer in non-violence and have expressed openly my admiration of Mahatma Ghandi, my ability to see truth of others makes me strong and makes me feel better.
I have not demonised by hatred of any kind towards anyone but I also think that this believe that some nation on earth posses the ultimate truth and does no wrong is in my opinion is the biggest sin.
I have called always blood of a 'Hindu' or a 'Jew' as sacred as a blood of a Muslim. Unfortunately, I have yet to see someone who come out and condemns with equal vehemence the treatment meted out by 600,000 military soldiers in Kashmir towards indigenous people who demand the rights to freedom under UN resolution?
Will you now join me in condemning like I condemn Pakistani forces for violence in Kashmir that Indian forces may stop this violence and give Kashmiris under unanimous UN resolution of 1948 pending in cold storage right of self determination? Will you join me to raise voice for 350,000,000 untouchables who are considered untouchables as human beings? Will someone else join me to say that this violence in Palestine has to stop? The only way to love our own country or creed is to see our mistakes, realise them and still love our country and try to make amends?
Imagine if Pakistan would have done something else, imagine if as media was saying Pakistan would have tilted on the side of Talibans or imagine if today Pakistan would be target of this campaign to eliminate terror.
I am only proud of that aspect of the right decision that we made, I know that no one anticipated it, it was considered in early Sept that Pakistan would be target of US not an ally, but as fate would put it US decided on 13th Sept that the work has to be done by the Pakistanis, they entrusted the safety of dropping advance SSG’s to Pakistan Army, they knew that it is a professional army and all this propaganda about revolt within it is non-sense.
Pakistan would deliver and that makes me proud, for a country that existed in name of Islam for that country to say ‘Pakistan interest comes first and Islam next is a new script’ I look forward to more of such actions that may help my country man to become better citizens of the world.
One needs to be proud of the nation you are born in, but fortunately my pride is only to the extent where they do the right thing on wrong things I condemn my nation and myself. I will repeat most unfortunately I have not seen that in many others and that is one cause of problem, the only way to resolve issues is to address them. |
