I'm not denying what you say, I'm not saying America is not great. And I see no difference between Conservative Kids and Liberal kids. I was looking for some proof in religious text, but I see no one has any. "The so-called progressive people" -- Many, if not all important biblical figures are ground breaking and progressive, ie. Abraham, Moses, Jesus...They break away from the past and move to something new and different. Wasn't Jesus a "dirty" Liberal?
I suspect, but I can't be sure, democracy came from the Greeks not the bible, freedom for all came out of oppression from the British, the right to worship whatever god you choose came from religious persecution in Europe and not the bible, and the right to assemble was an original idea of the founders of the consitution. Also the right of assembly may have originated from the North American Indians, not the bible. |
