Larry:

I quit subscribing to Marantette, as he totally missed the boat on gold and the move during the past year. Again, markets tend to go in the direction that market forces direct, irregardless of unexpected events like the wtc disaster. I think that a move up in gold, and gold shares was in the offing, anyway, and that events like that simply exaggerate the move on a short term basis. Actually, gold has not moved up that much since 9/11. Regrettably, gold and gold shares (maybe with the exception of funds that short, and defense related issues) are about the only sector that have done well recently. Certainly, does not bode well for the rest of the market.

Regards, and God Bless America

Dan
