Let's not jump to conclusions.
You don't know what these journalists were up to.

They could have somehow gotten some anthrax to write "a big story" on how easy it is to get it, and didn't realize they were playing with fire.

Keep in mind that journalists do some really stupid things to get a story, like go on airplanes with weapons.

I still say if there was anything to be concerned about, as in an actual "attack", there would be hundreds of cases.
