FLANDERS, N.J., Sep 24, 2001 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- R-Tec Technologies, a research and development company which trades on the NASD OTCBB under ticker symbol (RTTC), has announced today that they have developed and patented the first mechanically operated system designed to protect civilians in every day life from biological and chemical terrorism attacks. The Company named project C-BAND which stands for (Chemical & Biological Alarm & Neutralization Defense system, has been in development for several years, but has only recently been elevated to the topic of interest by Government leaders. "It is a shame that it has taken such a tragedy to call attention to the real threat of bio-chem terrorism," says a researcher for the company. "We hope that our leaders use this technology to avert another unthinkable act by terrorists," he adds.
The C-BAND system has been engineered to be an inexpensive but extremely effective method of alerting citizens that a biological or chemical agent has been released. In addition once the system detects a harmful bio or chem-agent the C-BAND unit sets in motion a series of events that are designed to isolate and neutralize the harmful agents. This is accomplished using a series of high electromagnetic frequency signals and a dispersion of an extremely safe but effective neutralizing and sanitizing agent.
The system was designed to be easily installed in airports, subways, schools, shopping malls, sports arenas, government buildings and any facility where large groups of people may gather. The unit is self-contained and does not require any expensive plumbing. Engineered with several safety devises and battery back up systems to prevent anyone from destroying, dismantling or cutting the power to the system. The units are designed to work through explosions and power outages. The company feels the cost of this new technology is a small price to pay to protect millions of citizens from the horrific weapons of the future. R-Tec Technologies has requested the help of Government leaders, emergency management offices and health officials to help implement such a plan. "There is no greater travesty as to have the technology to save lives and not use it," said a company employee. For more information please call Stewart Kaiser 973-252-5233
