"Maybe some day soon, Americans will start to realize how ridiculous this organization is" One of the founding principles of our great nation is the separation of church and state. Those who cannot understand why this is so important, especially in a public institution for young children, should endeavor to understand the constitution that governs our country. The ACLU has done so much to support the rights of the poor and oppressed. Defending civil liberties is not an "ultra liberal" concept, rather it is one of the cornerstones of our democracy. All that the ACLU does is bring these matters to the attention of our judicial system, which will rule on the basis of our established laws. If you are unhappy with the laws of our country, you have the right to work with your legislators to try to change them. Until then I thank God that there are organizations that work to uphold them. This seems well in keeping with the American way.
