I'm sure many have legit reasons to resent America, but I also believe that many others would not be content with global coexistence. Even if America
were to give into every demand of the Taliban, the militant Arabs will just find other reasons to call for more holy wars against America.

I cannot disagree with you on that.

My views are probably influenced by my dad being Indian -- from a country that has been subject to Muslim terrorism for many generations. Still, I try to not adopt his hatred. After our initial response to the NY attacks -- a response that is fully justified in the name of self defense -- we have to take a good hard look at the root cause for discontent in the world.

The way I look at it, to a large part, we took the bullet for Israel. Our campaign is now called "Enduring Freedom". Is this just enduring freedom for Israel and the West? What about the Palestineans that have been displaced from their homeland? When you have people that have no present, and no hope for the future, it will be hard to have peace. Also, is it just for us to support a government of "Royalty" in Saudi Arabia that siphons off all the profits of the country's only natural resource into their own few hands?
