Oh humanity,
be reverent towards your Lord
who created you from one soul
and created its mate from it,
and from these two
dissiminiated many men and women.

Be reverent towards God
by whom you ask of each other,
and be reverent towards relationships;
for God is watching over you.

And give orphans their property
without exchanging bad for good
or consuming their wealth
commingling with your own,
for that is a grave misdeed.
< And when are 4 wives justified ? >
And if you fear
you may not be able
to do justice by the orphans,
then marry women who please you,
two, three, or four;
but if you fear
you may not be able
to treat them equitably,
then marry one,
or make her a ward in your custody:
that would be more fitting,
so you don't go awry.
