Can you imagine what Echeverria or some of the old lefties would do with such a seat during times like these?

Sure...

Not imagine it but actually saw it in London. A disgrace ... Travel, complete with a gigantic entourage of besa-culos, all around the world with OPM (other people's money --the Mexican tax payer's), under the pretense of promoting himself --Echeverria-- to be elected as Prez of the ONU or some other cushy burrocrata post.

Ah yes, el chorejas Salinas de Gortari wanted the IMF seat or something along those lines until the revolucionarios in Chiapas --and his own brother Raulito, marred his plans and instead quickly switch them to become a country gent. in the Irish rain forest -ggg-

I am curious...

What would you imagine that even Fox [or any other corrupt politico Mexicano] would do... I mean give me a break Mexico a powerful country ? why ? are they planning to invade Guatemala or Honduras [So they can assure themselves of a ticket for the world cup in Japon-Korea next year.]

Ay, ay ay....

Mexicanos al grito de guerra... siguen teniendo sueños de grandeza sin aún resolver los problemas básicos de casa.

Será posible que los Mexicanos se estén Argentinizando ? -gggg-

Must be some sort of... Limbo stage before passing to the First World -g-

The most impacting image of Mexico I saw in a book cover --unfortunately I have forgotten the author... In the cover, you saw a sombrerudo, with equally impressive moustachio... he was attempting to get up... yet he could not... why ?

Because he was stepping on his own Moustache... LOL

If an entire country learns to conjugate the verb "Chingar" how the hell do they expect to really come out as winners in most anything they do ?

Chingar is not only a verb... unfortunately it becomes a way of life .... LOL and that was really said (in a different form by one of the most illustrious Mexicanos, I think Marcos showed it the other day...

No kidding I am laughing my head off and I do not mean to be mean.

Edit:

the Interior Secretary before the PAN presidential victory was a very powerful position. Difficult to describe what it does as it has its fingers in just about anything significant. Definitely not in charge of national parks and such as in the US.

Let's see if I remember still...it has been a long, long time...

I think that was the nominated next batter no ? something like the next Monarch in the House of PRI, once in that post it was a sure thing... six months of touring the country and then some teatro del absurdo just before the elections... ah yes... painting every single street wall with propaganda politica (not to mention making the city look like a gigantic jail house graffiti)...

and Presto.. the next King of Mexico...er.. I mean Presidente de Mexico

I may be wrong on this one.
