People like me have no future in my country or elsewhere, we are not liked much as we speak facts the way we see them and heresy or heretical doctrine for those on the other side of divide, sometime in life one needs to take a stand beyond conventional wisdom and reason, mine is such a kind of agenda free writing that makes more enemy than friends if anything. Realizing that I try my best to accommodate my ambitions by curtailing the growing tentacles if I see any in my ritualistic and every day realistic self-evaluation. Therefore I always write I know my size. Very important for anyone not to be carried away. Once I have put that thought of 'secretary of state' away lets come and attend the philosophical treatment of what we do here and why?
Next step in course of self-realisation lesson is, once that 'containment of ego' is achieved, rest is easy. Since people like me has no fixed intellectual mooring, if we have any intellect of any kind, our audience is limited as liberals and conservatives, both get irked by our remarks.
That does not in any way mean that it is sign of intelligence rather it does leave us without any structured philosophy. Our script is self-written and follows no norms or religion or creed, since it follows nothing conventional our credibility is also limited. That is one reason that the way you look at me after 5 years a new reader does not and comes up with very probing questions. I may have inner feeling that our entire mooring is probably human based; anything that is fair and human friendly should not be opposed is our objective, this is a luxury that I call as ‘pleasant romanticism’ I suppose.
I believe in one other thing, contribute good for your own self and try to make your own environment a human friendly environment, if we can do that, rest of the world will fall in place and can be taken care off. May be I see my world with my rosy glasses on that may give me false sense of security that is sometime doomed by 11th Sept type incidents but with so much of fear and despair around to live with despondency in my view is giving into dread and fright. A single day of fear is a day lost, I will rather risk my life and go out to show I will not be cowed by cowardice. These spineless terrorists do occupy some due importance on my agenda as abusing them and vilifying them I feel that their myth is whacked.
My innate ability to see hope in hopelessness and light where there is complete darkness keeps me going, I hope every tragedy becomes a lesson for all of us, respecting human life and its importance and our role to contribute every which way we can to protect life and respect humanity, we little people by expressing ourselves do a great service to if not anyone else our own friends and family. We set a standard and others may decide to follow it. That one goal even if partially achieved is a great service to mankind and to our little community we have set up here.
In a little way on our thread, it is very heartening to see that I am able to bring conflicting thoughts together on a bigger mosaic. I give in and take in other thoughts, this is the only way for humanity to survive, no truth is absolute, we are beggars of peace and co-habitation between varied interests of mankind, it is a far fetched dream but little people like us should keep dreaming, if we lose hope mankind at large will be poorer, we are small but a very important part of that living conscience of mankind, our very existence to stand up and to resist wrong is a big step forward. We are not amongst those who see an evil but have no guts to condemn it, we want to be counted, and that is our objective. Banal but very potent in present trying times, as far as visiting is concerned you are always welcome, you will enjoy the mysteries of my country once we have peace after this crisis. |
