Imagine if, tomorrow, "Christian" terrorists from Western nations, perverting and taking hostage an entire faith, purporting to speak for hundreds of millions of believers, destroyed the Islamic Holy Sites of Mecca in Saudi Arabia and the Al-aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem...
Imagine if, in response to the tragic loss of Arab nationals and other visitors, the Western world had extended its condolences, but at the same time dared to demand that Arab nations clamp down on acts of racism, xenophobia and religious hatred against Christians living within their borders, and also that in harsh tones at the end of every statement of equivocal condolence was issued an equal demand that the Arab nations clearly understand that there are grave flaws in the foreign policy of Arab nations, and that these nations must understand that the roots of evil acts such as this murder lie in this flawed policy...
Now finally imagine that the West, thus producing terrorists in this manner, should, without any public explanation, provide no support whatsoever to combat this terrible movement...
Imagine...
This is the current behavior of a number of nations to whom the West has previously displayed great loyalty and friendship, among them:
1. Saudi Arabia 2. Kuwait 3. Egypt 4. Jordan 5. the United Arab Emirates 6. Bahrain 7. Oman 8. Dubai 9. Qatar
These nations have earlier publicly professed their friendship to the West; however, when out of their culture and religion mass murderers have arisen, they have not only done nothing of any substance to combat the malevolent evil produced within their lands, they have, in brazen callousness towards the murdered thousand of this tragedy, actually asked the victims of this crime against humanity to understand the reasons and causes which in the final analysis actually point to the guilt and responsibility of the victims for their own murder...
As for the stated enemies of the West:
1. Iraq 2. Iran 3. Syria 4. Libya 5. Algeria 6. Yemen
I have confidence in the world response which shall soon be underway...
Many have stated this is not a battle between faiths. I would agree. One question the world now faces is whether or not, after what has happened and the response of its leaders, the Islamic faith continues to be one of any legitimacy. I believe this is a quite fair question. I would also point out that the human rights record in Islamic nations is a world disgrace, and that the United States and its friends have the power to change the world now, through massive, wide-ranging, decisive action. If that decision is made, there is no force on the planet that can stop the force of the movement we may launch against corrupt despots and their abuse of the populations they control...
I for one would like to see the National Organization for Women now come forward in public to make some very strong statements about the treatment of one-half of the population in Islamic nations. Now is not the time to be fearful of clear and candid discussion of the facts. |
