Alan:
Not that I know everything, but I have never heard of him. His resume is not impressive, in my opinion. I would like to know more.
This is a fascinating topic, and during the Gulf War, I read a lot of books on the subject. Actually, I continue to read many books and articles on the subject. I have resigned myself to "keep my eye on the ball," and read my Bible.
I will continue to read the posts on this thread, and give my opinion when I have something to say.
The discussion is healthy. I have some really good tapes by John Walvord, but they are pre-trib and that goes against my Presbyterian upbringing.:) I am still studying, so I will reserve comment! I am an Evanglical though. I went to a very Evanglical Presbyterian Church. I remember going on a Church Retreat in Junior high with my Church. My cabin got into a huge discussion on the subject, in the 70's. Hal Lindsay had just released the Late Great Planet Earth, and many of our parents had read it. Many of my friends, at Church, growing up, were Pre-Trib. I feel that I did not get a lot of teaching on the subject,at Church. There are so many gray areas. It was more of a discussion that friends got into.
This is not a salvation issue, and disagreeing and interpretations of prophecy will happen. The important thing is to know the Lord.
I do think Israel becoming a state was fufillment of prophecy. That's my two cents worth of cents! Westi |
