[ADI chipset availability]

<<ADI/AWRE . . . is it out yet? I remember hearing "two weeks" but don't know how long ago. Seems to me it's been that long.>>

From "Ericsson Launches Copper Broadband Access Products" in TeleChoice (http://www.telechoice.com/xdslnewz/showDSL.cgi?865793972):

"TeleChoice believes Ericcson is using the ADI/Aware chipset for its implementation, despite having previously announced using the Motorola chipset. Ericcson started working with ADI last August to enable it to deploy this coming September. Ericcson says that it remains ready and willing to deploy the Motorola solution when it becomes available.

"Ericsson already has received an order [...] from the Swedish operator Telia for an initial 2,000 lines to be delivered in July 1997. The system is currently also being tested with other operators around the world. General availability of the system is scheduled for September 1997."

In order to meet these dates the ADI chips must be shipping now. Can someone ping Rupert Baines to find out?
