They might instill terror in the people who run the dead letter dept of the Post Office. That's where most of my mail ends up, except of course for the advertising circulars and bills. Of course, I usually get my bills late enough to get a service charge for paying late.

ATTN any Postal Worker who may be teetering on the edge of going 'Postal': the foregoing was intended to be humorous; I really LOVE the pretty multi-colored advertising circulars that are really good for helping fireplace logs get started burning and overloading our landfill's limited space. Especially knowing that there are so many of them because the postal-powers-that-be encourage their distribution by giving their publisher's special postage rates in the neighborhood of up to 90% less than I pay. This also helps out the union by employing 30% more letter carriers than are needed to deliver the REAL mail - mine that I pay $0.34 for each piece I send out.

Now that I think more about it, we may have the perfect anti-terrorism weapon staring us in the face. Write on the address portion (that's where it says: Resident at...) of the advertising circulars the following: MOVED TO AFGHANISTAN - PLEASE FORWARD. They can't read and probably haven't discovered fire yet, so, soon the pile of paper will fill their caves to overflowing and force them out into the open where we can pick them off a couple at a time with a few bullets instead of using billion dollar ships to deliver two-million dollar missiles. After all, the Post Office deserves a chance to contribute to the war effort, too.
