If I could borrow a billion dollars and buy stock, and pay no interest, with little or no money down, I could make a fortune buying stock now and waiting only six months and then selling the stock if I knew when the turn in stock prices was going to come -- what a great business proposition, unless of course stocks go down when they are supposed to go up. If this game was being played for many, many months, and if those who play the game forgot what can go wrong, like global recession and global war, then the leveraged players would at some point watch their house of cards crumble. And the "banks" who financed them would watch their assets turn to urine and dung.
