No AB is private. advancedbionics.com By the way Rush is misinformed about how cochlear implants work, he is already causing controversy. <g> They do not attach directly to the brain and the system I use preserves the cochlea for later technology. I believe he has been looking into regeneration of the hair cells and wanting to preserves is cochlea for that. He and anyone else has one long wait if they are waiting for that. A decade or more, from what I have been told, before they even begin to understand clinically how to do that. In the meantime he has two ears one he could use for a cochlear implant the other he can save for later. Also, he would miss out on sounds and his hearing nerves would not be stimulated and would atrophy. I just hope if Rush goes ahead and is implanted that it works, it would be just awful to have him talking down the technology. He mention he was going out west. I'm sure he is going to House Ear Institute, one of the premiere places to go for hearing problems. b--for Borg! <g>
