Cruise control freaks and alien crop dusters should be profiled Ratan Lal: If you are keeping the fingers on the pulse of the nation as can be sampled on the talk shows and other political exchanges on the TV channels, the law-abiding Americans are seething with anger and want to profile people based on the behavior. They may not use the same word or phrase but it is in their mind. They are openly advocating the methods and means employed by Mossad in the pursuit of the terrorists. America has changed from the time of Japanese internment. We have a Japanese secretary in the administration. The enemy is the terrorist now. Any national including the native-born American wants to learn only cruising the plane and not the take-off and landing skills is a candidate for profiling. Behavior dictates profiling and not the race, national origin etc. Any national who comes to this country on a sponsored visa and disappears should be hunted down and profiled. Any national who wants to learn the skills in flying crop-dusting planes should be profiled. When was the last time one was seen to crop-dust a desert? O yes, they want to crop-dust the oasis in the deserts. I came to this country many many decades ago. I know what discrimination means and how this country has come along on that path. Behavior dictates profiling. It is easy to criticize this country. When you go to some Islamic nations, you surrender all your rights. The state tells you as to how you should dress, where you can go, what you can see and whom you can talk to. You are under constant surveillance. Do you know that a muslim cannot buy property in several islamic countries, no matter how long that muslim foreigner stayed there. Also a muslim foreigner gets paid way less than a citizen of that country. Do you know that a child born of a muslim foreigner cannot become a citizen of that muslim country. I can go on, but you got the idea. When I am outside my home environment I am glad that I am watched and profiled whether I like it or not. The Indian Government after the September 11th , advised the Indian diaspora /citizens (the females) to wear the Bindhi / dots on the foreheads. Why? It is just to tell the profiler that we are Indians. It is in the human nature to profile people. The only thing I demand is that my rights are protected .
