Tony Blair appears to have 70% support in the polls - amazingly, higher among those under 30 than over 30. His rhetoric has disgusted me but he sees himself as a sort of WW2 leader I guess. Not the leader of a middling power. Heady days for 'President Blair' as he is being called by some critics. IMO his rhetoric has brought the UK and London in particular into the front line for retaliation. People are pretty edgy there now - all garbage containers have been removed from the Tube stations for example.
