Never in my whole life (maybe the first year I started) playing golf have I stunk so bad. The last two weeks, I just can't seem to get anything right shooting near a 23 handicap. My friend that I play with played golf at OSU (never traded a day in his life) says to me:

Don't worry about the score. You are playing to score well. You should be playing to play well. Refocus your thoughts on swinging the club right, on getting your mind ready for the next shot, etc. The lower scores will come back to you.

It struck me as an amazing parallel to trading through drawdown periods.

Don't focus on the money won or lost, re-learn to trade the right way, preparing your mind for the next trade. The money will be a reward for this.

Just some thoughts.

Chris
