Jules, please see another opinion about IBM's mainframe future, which I posted to Brian Malloy a couple of weeks ago. Of course, I have an axe to grind, as you can see from my profile (work for an IBM compatible S390 company). Still, when listening to CPQ and TDM CEO's on Cavuto Bus. Review last night, two of the points you'll see in my post were mentioned as far as what has to be done better to get close to IBM: security and reliability. All the others are crucial also.

Another point is that IBM is covered for Unix and NT server products. They are not standing still.

I wouldn't cast IBM over the side just yet.
