they won't be allowed to be nominated again. Oh, it's just that belief that if you give an unruly child a position of responsibility where they have to be mature, then maybe they'll moderate their policies.. Who knows? It might even work with regard to Syria, since Assad needs all the support he can obtain to moderate the extremists who supported his father. Now they will have to be answerable to other members of the security council, and not just to themselves. After all, Israel has never been elected to any main body in the UN... And those who claim that's because of their occupation of the West Bank ignore the fact that Syria has been occupying Lebanon for decades now. Hawk
