English is successful because it incorporates other languages not because it is easy to learn or consistent. It is important to have a unifying language. French has an Academy that rids itself of non-French words. This has been to the detriment of France and their culture. Unless, of course, your goal is to become a quaint cultural backwater. Where I live you can dine on a variety of foods that aren't native to any western European cuisine. The words that are useful are absorbed, frequently the first are food items. Next are those that describe concepts. English is the language of the collective. Prepare to be assimilated. Would your ideal country look like? 100 foot walls keeping your quaint little Norman Rockwell villages stuck in some 1950's time warp? Get real. That isn't going to be possible.
