<<fmr Pres Ford signed an Exec Order prohibiting assasinations>>

Brutal terrorists acts requite brutal actions...I'm sure former President Ford might even agree with that...Clinton could have consulted with leaders in Congress about why he wanted to take unusual steps to wipe out Bin Laden's network...The President has the power to make a command decision. Yet, it would have been difficult to keep it quiet and do it covertly...It would have been better for The U.S. to train and fund the world class terrorists -- carefully AND very quietly (we should have used some of the CIA's offshore accounts). This has been done before -- but not recently. My hunch is that in the next few years we will utilize a lot of the behind the scenes covert operations again. Some may be carried out by our coalition partners -- in a quiet and ruthless way. Stay tuned...things will be interesting. My hunch is that Bin Laden will be dead within 3 months. I think our delta force is already hunting him down as I type.

Regards,

Scott
