The latest I heard on the news was that they're pretty sure the stuff was manufactured, but of very poor quality.

Because the fact that the spores were manufactured shows clearly that it was a terrorist attack. The nature of the attack and the people behind it are another question.

But I am pretty ready to 'jump to conclusions' on that one as well ;)

As to returning the favor... I don't think we should consider using biological weaponry at this time. Not at all. We have the technology, numbers, and expertise to do the job that needs to be done the old fasioned way.

Recently I have heard folks decrying the US decision to use nuclear weapons at the end of WW2. Well... that was at a time when a full scale war had been raging for a long time. This is still a limited conflict.

They will fight us here at home. We must be prepared for this. We must be watchful and wary of the reality of this. Ignoring it will not make it go away, and it will hamper our efforts to deal with it when it comes. Because it will come.

I am finding my faith increasing, though, that in the end we will be victorious in our objective.

Today I heard Mr Weinberger himself say with clarity that this is not a time for the Weinberger-Powell Doctrine. Or more accurately that this time fits the requirements for fighting in a way that is not as limited as previous 'wars'.

We will prevail.
