GST Coincidentally, I got asked the same question just a week ago. My girlfriend's parents who reside in Hong Kong were very fearful for her safety. They have been planning to visit us for a while and I am encouraging them to visit now. I really think that the fear factor is overdone. The only thing I fear is the long lines and the weird traffic arrangements at LAX(yeah and fear itself ;-) ). I am very surprised that you are so worried about terrorist violence. The probability of something like that happen to me is infinitesmal. Certainly not worth shutting myself in my house. -PWM
